Hong Consulting LLC was founded in 2022 by Adrian Hong with a clear mission: to close the ESG gap for small and medium-sized businesses. While large corporations have long had access to consultants and tools for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, Adrian saw firsthand how underserved smaller organizations were—especially those trying to navigate sustainability requirements with limited resources.

With a background in accounting and a passion for sustainability, Adrian launched the firm to provide both education and strategic guidance rooted in practical, real-world application. Since its founding, Hong Consulting has become a trusted partner for businesses looking to understand their ESG responsibilities, comply with emerging regulations, and communicate their sustainability efforts with confidence.

A key area of Adrian’s work focuses on helping building owners across Oʻahu comply with Honolulu’s Better Buildings Benchmarking Ordinance (22-17), supporting them in collecting data, understanding requirements, and preparing reports that meet city standards. Beyond compliance, the firm is committed to empowering clients to integrate sustainability into their broader financial and operational strategies—bridging the gap between accounting and ESG.

Through partnerships with professional organizations, Adrian also develops and delivers ESG-focused webinars and trainings for CPAs and business leaders. His thought leadership extends to regular articles published on LinkedIn and this website, where he shares insights on the evolving role of ESG in business and why it matters—regardless of company size.
